Hello Jewels and welcome to another special #Bijouxquibrillent edition.
When I first started blogging, to say my skin was a mess was an understatement. That’s the one of the reasons I learnt how to do my makeup, so I could hide at least some of the spots and blemishes the acne left me.
Here is an extremely old shot to show just how bad it got…Actually, this was on a good day 🙂
My skin just won’t behave itself, but rest assured, I have found a way to curb the situation a little more.
When you get that stubborn pimple that just wants to ruin your life, please don’t hesitate to lay an ambush for it (like the one that got me in my previous post, click here. I dealt with it severely after the shoot) I strongly do NOT, however, advise you to pop anything at all on your face or body. It might not be what you’re expecting it to be, and you might end up trying to pop a boil or tumor or something worse…Seriously though, please DO NOT POP IT, but if you have to, make sure its ready to be popped and try to use a warm wash cloth. This is guaranteed to not leave a scare if done right.
Leave a comment if you want me to do a post on how it’s done.
Products I have found to help get rid of pimples are BENTONITE CLAY, ALOE VERA, TOOTHPASTE and CHOCHO SOAP. These are the miracle working ingredients in my regiment for now.
Also, I have included a detailed video showing how I mix my Bentonite clay and apple cider vinegar to make my clay mask. You can also use just water if you do not have apple cider vinegar or you have sensitive skin. It works just as well. Remember, please do not make the mixture with a metal plate or spoon (I cant tell exactly why, but to be on the safe side, just don’t do it, OKEY 🙂 )
- If you watched the video above, you would have seen the lovely lady applying the bentonite clay using her spoon. That’s exactly what I also use for the clay application. So I apply the mask and let it sit on my face for about 10-15 mins. By then you should start to feel the skin on your face tightening up majorly. You can’t even laugh… 🙂 That my cue that it’s ready. Then I wash the mask off with warm water.
- I dry my face with a towel and then go back in with my chocho soap. I also leave that on my face for about 5mins and then I wash my face again.
- After towel drying my face, I apply my Aloe Vera Gel which I get directly from the plant outside my house (I’ve got a whole garden of them)
If I still see any annoying pimples that won’t respect itself after all this, I simply apply a little toothpaste on it and then I’m off to bed 🙂 Easy Peasy. Trust me these tips Do work. You can also apply Benzyl Peroxide on the developing pimple, but that product is way too harsh for my skin and it totally burns me.
I also use my exfoliating gloves to exfoliate my skin atleast once ever week and on the days I decide to wear makeup, I use my trusted face wips and foaming cleanser. These two make an awesome combination. Always remember, a clearer, happier skin looks 10 times better with makeup. Your skin will thank you if you set aside time to take good care of it.
Okay guys, all too soon, this draws our curtains. Thank you for visiting and please remember to like, comment and most importantly, subscribe to my blog.
